je_prompts. This is more Ueda-centric with a little Ryoda implied. Un-beta'd, sorry for any mistakes.
It had been an exceptionally long day at work.
Ueda wanted nothing more than to just drop down on the fluffy couch and not move for days. Sliding off his shoes and dropping his bag with a dull 'thud', he shuffled over to said fluffy couch. He stood in between the couch and its coffee table, pulling his phone out of this pocket.
He thought about shutting it off; he didn't really want to talk to anyone and it was the only source of connection with the outside world he had at the moment. The temptation to cut off all ties with the world was a nice thought but he lingered. But...if he shut it off and one of the others from KAT-TUN called, especially Jin, he would never hear the end of it.
His feet were starting to ache, yelling at him to sit, just sit down. He resolved to keep the phone on, but tossed it onto the furthest corner of the table and proceeded to sit down. Immediately, he sank into the plush cushions, almost as if the sofa was threatening to swallow him whole. He looked like he was snapped in half.
His head had slid down to where the cushions met the backing of the couch. His legs were outstretched, feet planted firmly on the wood floor. It was actually it was quite comfortable. He had been on his feet the entire day and resting like this felt like heaven.
He had left his heavy coat on though, which was making his warm apartment feel warmer. But still he didn't move. He couldn't move even if he wanted to. Instead, he reviewed his day.
First, there was dance rehearsal which took most of the day, and then they would be having a few photo shoots in the next few days. Then there was all the things he needed to finish by the end of the week, in order to have free time for the new things that would be dumped on them the next week. Just thinking about it made ten times more tired and gave him a headache.
He sighed and stared around his living room. He had spent weeks finding and collecting the most comfortable pieces of furniture he could find, exactly for these days when he came home and just wanted to lie down and not think about anything. It was his mind and his constant thoughts of work that interfered with the peace they offered. Sometimes, he wished he could shut off his mind and just relax.
He closed his eyes and tried to sink further into the couch. The whole place was silent. If he just kept his eyes shut for several minutes he would be able to drift off to sleep. It was a little early but he didn't have anything planned for the night.
Suddenly, a shill ring slashed through the silence. His eyes shot open, but he didn't move. The phone rang only once, meaning he had received a message. He stared at the phone, thinking. It was probably just Jin, who liked to text him random things. Or maybe Nakamaru, checking in on him. He could leave it there and ignore it, or he could get up and see who sent him a message. He closed his eyes again, choosing the former.
Several minutes passed and just as he entered the first stage of sleep, his phone rang again. He forgot it was on the setting making it ring every so often until he read the message. Sighing, he shifted and used all his strength to stand up and walk over to the phone. He grabbed it off the table and flipped it open in one fluid movement.
One new message.
He read it over twice, and suddenly felt slightly more energized. He smirked at the message, suddenly looking forward to the evening. He shrugged off his coat, making the room cooler to him. He placed his phone back on the table before striding over to his closet, though not closing the phone.
It remained open displaying the message from Ryo.
You looked pretty tired when you left. I'm coming over to help you..."relax"
